Proverbs 30 Art Series is a collection of surreal pencil drawings. Each one is based on a line from the book of Proverbs, chapter 30.
The 33rd drawing in the series is called A Fool Stuffed with Food.
The idea for the image comes from the second line in Proverbs 30:22, seen below.
a servant who becomes king,
a godless fool who gets plenty to eat …
Another translation of that second line is “A fool stuffed with food,” which is what I decided on for the title of this drawing.
Name: A Fool Stuffed with Food
Dimensions: 5″ x 7″—the size of a notecard
Materials: HB pencil on sketch paper
Series: The 32nd drawing in the Proverbs Art 30 Series
I started this drawing in church. I was often told not to draw in church as a teenager because my parents thought I was distracting myself—but the truth is I listen much better while drawing. As an adult, nobody stops me anymore. ;)
Here’s a picture of the preliminary sketch, with my little pencil in there to show scale. As you can see, all these drawings are quite small.
